The Web PORTS EM SSAB Site

The U.S Department of Energy (DOE) has completed the investigation and evaluation of decontamination and decommissioning (D&D) and waste disposal alternatives of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant through a comprehensive Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study process. The DOE now invites public comment on two Proposed Plans-one for the buildings being considered in the Process Buildings and Complex Facilities D&D decision and one for the Site-Wide Waste Disposition decision. Each Proposed Plan presents a preferred alternative and a detailed evaluation of all the alteratives considered.

Ohio EPA has concurred with both Remedial Investigation Feasibility Studies and Proposed Plans.
